Tim Porth is a visionary entrepreneur focused on the fitness, health and wellness space for over 25 years. Tim has an extensive background in innovation, product, brand, business, intellectual property, domestic and Asian sourcing within companies ranging from start-ups to publicly traded entities. In 2001, Tim co-founded Octane Fitness – a creator of zero impact cardio equipment sold to homes and health clubs worldwide. Octane Fitness became part of the North Castle Partners family in 2005 and grew to become a multi category, multi product leader in the fitness equipment space. In 2007, Tim and co-founder Dennis Lee were voted winner and national finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year® award in the consumer products category. In 2015, Octane Fitness was sold to Nautilus, Inc. (NYSE: NLS) where Tim continued to lead Octane’s product development and marketing and lead the integration of Octane into Nautilus Inc. Prior to Octane Fitness, Tim served in a variety of development roles at Life Fitness, Nordic Track and multiple product development consulting firms. Tim currently leads Think Product LLC, a product, brand and business consulting firm and serves on the Board of Directors for HydroMassage and Hyper Wear Inc. Tim earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Design from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo MI.
